Washington-area residents can get snacks to indulge or a gift for their Valentine while supporting a local non-profit this week.

PAWS & More Animal Shelter is hosting their annual Sweets and Treats online auction fundraiser now through this Thursday. PAWS & More Director Amber Talbot gives more information, “So we are excited to do our annual sweets and treats auction, that will be February 1st through the 6th. And that is an online auction of pretty much what it sounds like, so sweets and treats, so it’s homemade goodies that will be for auction to get ready for Valentine’s Day.” The public can place their bids on baked desserts, chocolate-covered strawberries, dips, party mix and more through the link with this news story, and winning bids must pick up their items from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the shelter. Funds raised support the shelter.
