quilt-block-800

Celebrate Fiber Arts February at the Washington Public Library by learning how to sew a star quilt block in a three-part class with Jean Frazer. Librarian LeAnn Kunz shares more information about the class, “One of the first events that we have going on is the quilt block sewing with Jean Frazer, and that is down in the MakeIT Place. Jean is our wonderful volunteer who has been teaching the sewing classes. And we have got kind of a quilt theme going on this year to a certain extent, we decided to teach how to put together a quilt block. So the people who will participate, will not do the full quilting but they will make the block, and put together a star block in the class. So that is on February 5th, 6th, and 7th at 5 p.m. You do need to register, and we do have to have you certified on our machines ahead of time, and we can do that very easily. It’s just learning how to thread the machine, and also wind the bobbin. So if you want to make an appointment with myself, LeAnn or with Allison, we can do that anytime before class next week.” You can find a link to more information and to register for this class with this news story at KCIIRadio.com.
