Area girls wrestlers are gearing up for the 2025 Iowa Girls High School State Wrestling Championships. There are seven athletes who qualified for the Class 1A State Wrestling Championships based on their SuperRegional Tournament performances Friday.
At SuperRegional 7 held at Solon, Mid-Prairie had 3 qualifiers as runners-up including Gabby Gingerich at 115lbs, Ashlee Farrier at 130lbs, and Laken Lee at 140lbs.
At SuperRegional 8 in Williamsburg, Sigourney-Keota had three qualifiers.
Reanah Utterback at 115lbs was Champion. Kia Montgomery at 125lbs, and Karley Greiner at 155lbs were both runners-up.
Columbus/Winfield-Mt.Union Wildcats had one qualifier, Jada Moats at 190lbs was runner-up. The 2025 Iowa Girls High School State Wrestling Championships are hosted Thursday, February 6th and Friday, February 7th at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
