Better Together Excellence in Action Awards at the Courtyard by Mariott on 1/30/25

The Better Together 2030 Inspire Award was awarded to Lone Tree Community Schools by Greater Iowa City, Inc. The award recognizes educational institutions that engage, support, and uplift students. Lone Tree Community Schools serves over 400 students from pre-school through 12th grade. Director of Rural Development for Greater IC Sarah Thompson presented the award and shared how she still remembers how her fifth-grade teacher Russ Forbes, who was from Lone Tree, was impactful.
