The Washington Demons wrapped up the regular season by sweeping a boys’ wrestling triangular at Centerville last night, edging out the hosting Big Reds 39-36 before defeating Wayne 41-39. Three wrestlers led the way for Washington, including senior Aaron Boone, who won twice by fall at 138 pounds to improve to 34-2.
Blaine Rees also had a pair of pins for the Demons at 165 lbs, while fellow sophomore Greyson Hartman won a 7-1 decision and claimed a victory by technical fall at 215. Washington will now prepare for their Class 3A district tournament next week at Williamsburg.
