There was a collision between a Washington School District bus and vehicle on Thursday morning. A statement from Superintendent Willie Stone sent to parents Thursday morning provided more details, “This morning, one of our school buses was involved in a rear-end collision. All students have been evaluated by the school nurse, and we are relieved to report that there appear to be no injuries to students or staff at this time. The bus was carrying high school and middle school students. We are contacting the parents of the students on the bus directly.”

The school district was operating on a two-hour delay due to the evening’s ice storm.

KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
