A two-vehicle wreck with injuries happened in Washington at the t-intersection of Highway 92 and Highway 1 on Monday.

As heard live from the scene on KCII Radio, at approximately 12 p.m., two cars collided at the intersection of Highway 92 and Highway 1 in Washington. Front-end damage was seen on both cars. Officials arrived on the scene, and traffic was slowed in the area. According to the police report, one operator was a juvenile from Washington and the other was Murial Thomson of Washington. One person was transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital and another was transported to the Washington County Hospital. 

A citation was issued to Thomson for failure to yield upon making a left-hand turn. 

Emergency services on the scene included the Washington Fire Department, Washington Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, Washington EMS, and Washington County Ambulance.
