
Snow arrived, cold air is moving in, and more snow is on the way. According to the National Weather Service, Riverside and West Chester observed over six inches of snow on Wednesday. By 8:30 p.m. North English and Sigourney had each received nine inches of snow as the winter storm moved across the state. Snow levels were lower in the southern portions of the listening area; near Mt. Pleasant reports of under four inches of accumulation were received Wednesday evening.
Up until this week’s snowfall, Washington had only received 2.7 inches of snow this winter, nearly 15 inches below the normal amount for this point in the season.
