U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley honored Iowa Astronaut and Iowa Wesleyan graduate Peggy Whitson recently. Peggy Whitson is a biochemistry researcher, and astronaut working for Axiom Space. She retired from NASA in 2018, after serving as Chief Astronaut. Over all her missions, Whitson accumulated a total of 675 days in space, more than any other American or woman. Grassley paid tribute to Whitson in honor of her 65th birthday February 9th with words to the Senate.
