The Washington Chamber of Commerce has released the 2025 Washington County legislative briefing dates with Iowa State District 92 Representative Heather Hora, and Iowa State District 46 Senator Dawn Driscoll. The second briefing will take place this Thursday, February 20th, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Washington City Council Chambers located at 215 East Washington Street. The briefings are open to residents within Washington County. They will be held in a one-hour format which includes a 20-minute update from legislators and 30 minutes of comments or questions from the public. These sessions are the public’s chance to stay informed about legislative activities, ask questions, and discuss matters that are important to the community. The last session will be held on March 14th, also at the council chambers.
