Individually, Carly Rich scores 13 per game with two steals and two assists. Zoe Allen leads with five boards per game. Golden Hawk head coach Danny Hershberger joined the KCII Postgame show following their win over Central Lee to talk about the keys to a deep playoff run.
Hershberger said, “It’s a familiar opponent (in Williamsburg). We have played there already this year. I felt like we did a good job competing. We had opportunities that we let go in that game, we were competitive but not quite competitive enough. Any time we got going they would come back down and hit a couple big shots to get back up by double digits. It’s another one of those games where we have to take care of the basketball. Stats last time we pretty even except turnovers. They are a really good team, they are ranked, they have had a really good year, and we look forward to the opportunity Wednesday.”
These teams have split their last 10 meetings, with the last coming in Williamsburg in January, a 64-49 Raider victory. The winner of this game moves to Saturday’s Regional Final, one win shy of the State Tournament.
