A bridge north of Riverside will be replaced and road closures will begin Monday. According to the Washington County Engineer’s Office, Tupelo Avenue will be closed north of Riverside to replace an aging bridge. Iowa Bridge and Culvert Repair L.C. are doing the construction and were approved by the county supervisors for $278,674.15.

The bridge replacement will eliminate the current narrow width as well as the existing weight restriction. The road will be closed beginning February 24th.
