A trio of bowlers from Sigourney-Keota are in Waterloo Monday for the 2025 Iowa High School State Championships. Sophomore Sophie Young and senior Jayden Montgomery will compete for the SK girls while Landyn Greiner will represent the boys. Young and Montgomery advanced to State last week with second and third place finishes, respectively, at the Davis County Girls Qualifier, while Greiner moved on with a fourth place finish at the boys event.
The girls Class 1A field has 32 total athletes with Young’s 575 total placing her 14th in qualifying and Montgomery’s 567 17th. The boys field also has 32 competitors with Greiner’s 637 day at the qualifier seeding him 24th.
