The Highland Huskies had their girls’ basketball season end Friday night with a 61-17 loss to Springville in the Class 1A Region 7 semifinals. Highland fell behind 18-2 by the end of the first quarter, and Springville would stretch out a 34-9 halftime advantage with a 20-4 run to start the third period.

Senior Katie Herrig scored a team-high five points as the season finishes for the Huskies with a record of 17-8. Highland will lose two seniors in Herrig and Olivia Edwards to graduation.
