New interpretive panels are being installed in two Louisa County parks this year. Louisa County Conservation announced that with grants and corporate support, interpretative panels will be placed in the Chinkapin Bluffs Recreation Area and at Wilson’s Prairie.

Orion Renewable Group, LLC donated the funding for the educational signs along the trail at Wilson’s Prairie. The panels there will highlight the prairie area including flora and fauna found on site.

A Columbus Junction United Fund grant is covering the costs for four interpretive panels to be installed on the recently reconstructed overlook platform at Chinkapin Bluffs Recreation Area. They will teach visitors about trees on the Iowa River bluffs. A grand opening will be scheduled after the panels are installed.
