This past season was another one of the best in Lone Tree Lions girls’ basketball history, and five players who powered them to a single-season program record for wins and a trip to the regional semifinals earn all-conference honors in the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.
That includes guard Finley Jacque, who is a unanimous first-team all-conference selection after scoring a team-high 16 points per game. The junior hit over 43 percent of her shot attempts and shot 31-and-a-half percent on three-pointers on her way to finishing second in the Super Conference North in shooting and scoring.
Senior Vivian Zaruba also makes the first team after doing a little bit of everything for Lone Tree, averaging almost 9.5 points, five rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals per contest.
Senior Cate Sexton gets a second-team nod for the Lions for her work in the low post, putting up over 10.5 points and six rebounds a game. Honorable mentions go to junior Ava Christofferson and senior Rylee Shield, who helped Lone Tree go 20-4 overall and win 13 conference games.
