Above average temperatures over the last week have set the table for the possibility of severe weather Friday in the KCII listening area. The National Weather Service Quad Cities office has the entire KCII listening area at four out of five, or a moderate risk for severe weather. The storm forecast shows the most likely time for severe weather is from 6p.m. to midnight Friday. The greatest risk is from damaging winds up to 80mph with hail and embedded tornadoes possible. Due to warm temperatures and strong winds that will accompany the system, fire danger is also elevated with a Wind Advisory in effect Friday. Listen to KCII for up-to-the-minute severe weather coverage from the KCII Severe Weather Action Team.
