The cost of regular unleaded gasoline fell in the last week according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship’s report from AAA. The price dropped seven cents to an average of $2.91. The national average was $3.08 as of Wednesday, down three cents from last week.

Retail diesel prices also fell in the state. It fell six cents for a statewide average of $3.35, about 40 cents lower than diesel price averages in Iowa a year ago.

In addition, wholesale ethanol is currently priced at $2.16 and held steady from last week. 

Global crude oil prices increased over the past week by 76-cents per barrel on the West Texas Intermediate, and are currently priced at $67.27. A year ago, WTI crude oil was sold at $78.51.
