The WACO Warriors again were one of the best boys’ basketball teams in the area, and after winning at least a share of a conference championship for a second time in three seasons, five players earn all-conference accolades for WACO in the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.
That group features Christian Stacy, who receives first-team honors in his first season with the Warriors after finishing second in the Super Conference North in scoring with almost 19-and-a-half points per game. The junior also led the team with just over 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest.
Senior guard Isaac Rich gets a second-team selection after averaging nearly 8.5 points and three assists a game and shooting a career-high 34 percent on three-pointers. Sophomore Isaac Egli led WACO in assists and averaged 3.5 dimes per game on his way to a second-team nod as well.
Honorable mentions go to senior Clayton Miller and sophomore Holden Hughes, who helped the Warriors go 14-2 in conference play. WACO head coach Chayse Roth is named one of the Co-Coaches of the Year in the Super Conference North after leading the program to an 18-6 overall record.
