An annual conference for women involved in agricultural operations is being held in Washington this month with a focus on digital awareness, cybersecurity, social media, and tools. Organizer and field agronomist Rebecca Vittetoe shares what feedback they’ve received from previous attendees, “It seems like everybody always enjoys the networking aspect of getting to connect with other women. We get people from all over southeast Iowa, and sometimes even other parts of Iowa. So it’s just kind of fun to see who we bring in and connect with those folks. They also really appreciate the information that gets shared. So great networking opportunity, but also a great way to get some good information too.”

The theme this year is “Digital Dilemmas: Succeeding in a Digital Ag World.”

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office on Saturday, March 22nd. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students and include registration, a light breakfast and lunch. To reserve a spot for the conference contact the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811 or visit https://www.extension.iastate.edu/washington/women-agriculture-conference-set-march-22-washington-iowa
