Mid-Prairie’s Bryce Henry spent last season making his own edits to the Golden Hawk boys hoops record book. The Mid-Prairie junior added his name to Golden Hawk history in four different statistical categories. Henry broke the all-time Mid-Prairie record for made three pointers in a season, knocking down 84, breaking Class of 2011 Christian Swartzendruber’s record of 83. Henry’s total was second most in Class 2A this season. He connected on 33 consecutive free throws, dating back to last season, breaking Class of 2023 Alex Bean’s school record of 27 straight makes from the stripe.

Henry averaged 21.3 points per game, sixth most in Mid-Prairie history for a single season and ninth in 2A. Randy Jirsa’s 25.5 points per contest from the 97-98 season are the program standard. Henry’s 489 total points were eighth most for a Golden Hawk in a single season and led the River Valley Conference this year. Travis Kern’s 2004-05 campaign with 538 points is the most ever.

Henry was a unanimous First-Team All-River Valley choice this season. The Golden Hawks finished the year with an 18-5 overall record.
