The Riverside city council worked on budgetary measures during their meeting in the early part of March. The council heard proposals for the city’s property tax levy for fiscal year 2026. The 2025 number was $7.94 per $1,000 of assessed value. The prospective number for the next year stands at $8.10, an increase of 16 cents per $1,000 of assessed value.
The process now moves forward with a public hearing on the matter set for April 7th at which time the board will take a vote on the measure. A public hearing for the overall city budget will likely be later next month.
