A local farmer has been named the president elect of the National Pork Producers Council. Rob Brenneman of Washington was elected to the position for the organization for the 2025-2026 term. He owns and operates Brenneman Pork and has been part of the National Pork Producers Council board of directors since 2021. He has held roles with the National Pork Board and the Iowa Pork Producers Association. 

Brenneman Pork is a swine and grain operation based in Washington County. It was established in 1980.
