Ten Mid-Prairie individual speech events have received All-State nominations. Recently 18 members of the Golden Hawk speech team competed in 30 events at North Scott High School at the Iowa High School Speech Association’s State Individual Events Speech Contest. Of the 30 events, 27 received Division 1 ratings.

The eight students who will be performing at state are Caroline Schrader in acting, Grace Puttman in poetry, Jillian Clark in storytelling, Logan McClellan in solo musical theatre, Niah Leaton in acting, Rita Du in literary program, Ryann Dolan in acting, and Tabitha Fisher in after dinner speaking. In addition, the two named to state who are non-performing are Schrader in solo musical theatre and Leaton in improvisational acting.

The IHSSA Individual Events All-State Festival will be held March 31st at the University of Northern Iowa.
