Saturday has been circled on the calendar for many in southeast Iowa as the Wellman Fire Department brings back their popular annual tenderloin dinner. First held in 2021, the dinner has grown each year. The meal is served in a drive-thru format and includes a grilled tenderloin sandwich and fries for a free will donation. Past proceeds have been used to replace firemen’s gear, including pants, coats, boots and more. The Wellman Fire Station is located at 95 Third Street. Signs will be posted to direct traffic in the area.
