Spring has arrived and so has construction season for a pair of projects under the direction of Washington County Conservation. The Kewash Trail spur at Kirkwood in Washington is closed until further notice. This is so work can be performed on the dam at Willow Pond which has shown signs of leakage, causing low water levels in the pond. DeLong Construction will be working this spring to cut the dam as the pond is drained and restructured.

Work is also scheduled to begin today at the Don Pfeiffer Shooting Range at Clemons Creek. The range will be temporarily closed while County Conservation staff and contractors work to pour trails in the area.
