The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys golf team started the season Monday with a signature win, taking down Iowa City Regina 165-170 at the Kalona Golf Course. Golden hawk junior Clayton Davidson headlined the night for the Hawks, earning medalist honors with his one-over round of 37. Other Mid-Prairie scores included Grayson Gingerich 42, Bryce Henry and Denver Nelson with 43s, Ace Peck 45 and Andrew Rath 55. The Golden Hawks are now 1-0 on the season and host West Branch Monday.
