
Troy Klett led the Sigourney Savage boys’ track & field team at the Pekin Invitational on Monday. The junior was the winner of the 3,200-meter run with a time of 11 minutes eight seconds.
Klett was also second in the 1,600 meters and third in the 400, while senior teammate Caden Clarahan claimed the title in the 110-meter hurdles in 17.12 seconds.
Dillon Menke won a bronze medal for Sigourney in the 400 hurdles, as did fellow freshman Lance Walden in the open 200, sophomore Aiden Knepper in the long jump and senior Jayden Thompson in both the discus throw and the shot put toss.
The Savages also finished second in the both the shuttle hurdles and 4-by-800-meter relays and third in the 4-by-100, 4-by-400 and the distance medley.
