The Keota Eagles and Sigourney Savages competed Thursday in the Belle Plaine Boys’ Track and Field Invitational. Ayden Galindo led Keota by winning the high jump in the Class B division, clearing five feet 10 inches in the fewest attempts.

The sophomore also took second place in the long jump, while junior teammate Jacob Libe was also runner-up in the 110 and 400-meter hurdles. The Eagles were third in both the shuttle hurdles and 4-by-400-meter relays.

Junior Troy Klett had the best finishes for Sigourney after he ended up second in both the 1,600 and 3,200-meter runs in Class A. Senior Jayden Thompson added a bronze medal for the Savages in the shot put.
