Boat owners have until the end of the month to complete registrations. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is reminding Iowans that current boat registrations expire on April 30th. The registrations are good for three years and owners should check to see when theirs expire.
To renew registration, boat owners should take their current registration to a county recorder’s office. Only boats displaying a current registration decal are allowed to operate on Iowa waters.
The registration fees are used to support boater education and safety, water trails in the state, navigation enforcement, and to deal with aquatic invasive species.
