The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls soccer teams start the conference season tonight when they entertain West Liberty in a River Valley Conference doubleheader in Wellman.

The Golden Hawk girls are in search of their first win of the year. They enter at 0-2 after dropping matches to Grinnell and Solon by a combined 11-0 total. West Liberty is 0-2-1 this season after dropping matches to Clear Creek Amana and Bellevue by a combined 6-2 and a scoreless tie against Clinton. Mid-Prairie has won four of the last five in this series including a 2-1 victory on the road last season.

The Mid-Prairie boys are also 0-2 to begin 2025 after dropping matches to Highland and Williamsburg by a combined 9-0 score. West Liberty is 2-0 this season, beating Clear Creek Amana and Bellevue by a combined 9-1 total.

Action starts tonight at 5p.m. With the girls match first and the boys to follow at the Wellman Rotary Soccer Fields.
