The Sigourney Savage track & field teams fared well Tuesday at the Lynnville-Sully Hawks Co-Ed Relays, particulalry the boys, who finished fourth in team scoring. Sigourney was led by a victory from Jayden Thompson in the shot put, posting a top toss of an even 127 feet.

Thompson was also second place in the shot put throw, as was fellow senior Caden Clarahan in the 110-meter hurdles. Junior Troy Klett finished third in both the 400 and 800 meters for the Savages, while sophomore teammate Aiden Knepper took third in the long jump.

Sigourney’s relay teams would finish runner-up in the distance medley and the shuttle hurdles, while they ended up third in the 4-by-400-meters.

Sophomore Ellie Yates gave the Savage girls a silver medal in the 3,000, as did senior Josephine Moore in the shot put. Moore would also finish third in the discus for Sigourney, which took third in the 4-by-200 as well.
