The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls track team faced top competition Friday at the Jane Astor Relays at Clear Creek Amana. The Hawks were second in the team standings with 96 points. Linn-Mar won the title with 141.5 points. Mid-Prairie had three event championships on the night with Jeorgia Evans winning the 100 in 12.43 seconds and the 200 in 25.96 seconds. Rachel Hostetler was the 3000 winner in 11:00.29. Other top Golden Hawk performances included runner-up for Brooklyn Stutzman in the 3000, third for Hostetler in the 1500, Evans in long jump, the shuttle hurdle of Sophie Miller, Ruby Miller, Olivia Schlabach and Tessa Bombei and the distance medley of Myli Hershberger, Sophie Miller, Kyrie Poll and Kendall Landstrum. Fourth place finishes included Sophie Miller in the 100 hurdles, Dessa Poll in discus, Bombei in high jump, Landstrum in the 1500, the 4×800 with Landstrum, Tessa Brokaw, Stutzman and Hostetler and the distance med of Hershberger, Sophie Miller Kyrie Poll and Landstrum. In fifth were Brooklyn Stutzman in the 1500 and the 4×1 team of Evans, Bombei, Hershberger and Ruby Miller.
