The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls golf teams open the week with River Valley Conference duals against the Tipton Tigers. The Golden Hawk girls are 2-0 this year with wins over Iowa City Regina and West Branch. The Hawks have a team average of 193 per nine holes, led by Addison English and her 44 average. The Tigers are also 2-0 with wins over Regina and Wilton. The Tigers have a 184 average per nine, led by Paycee Sorgenfrey’s 42 average per nine. The Hawks have won the last three in the series including a 208-221 victory last year.

The Mid-Prairie boys are 2-1 this year with wins over Louisa-Muscatine and Regina and a loss to West Branch. Mid-Prairie has a 167 average per nine with Denver Nelson’s 41 average best. Tipton is 1-1 with a win over Wilton and loss to Regina. The Tigers are at a 153 average per nine, led by Cayden McCarty at 41. These teams have split their last four meetings with Mid-Prairie winning last year 166-182. Action starts tonight at 4p.m. With the boys in Tipton and the girls in Kalona.
