Five local track teams travel to Lone Tree Monday for the Mike Kautz Invitational.
The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will be in action. The Golden Hawk girls are coming off of a second place finish at Friday’s Jane Astor Relays at Clear Creek Amana, led by championships for Jeorgia Evans in the 100 and 200 and Rachel Hostetler in the 3000. The Golden Hawk boys were sixth at Washington Thursday, led by a second place finish for the shuttle hurdle team.
Columbus last competed at WACO Tuesday, where the boys won the team championship. The Wildcats had wins from Ty Muniz in the two-mile, Lamar Ceant in the 110 hurdles, Itai Zapiensz in the shot put, the 4×1, 4×8 and shuttle hurdle. The Columbus girls were seventh at WACO with Kymila Bacon’s second in the 100.
Highland was at the Demon Relays Thursday. The Huskies were 10th as a girls team with Maiya Singbeil fifth in the 100 hurdles. The boys were 12th as a team with a fifth place finish in the shuttle hurdle.
Keota last ran at Belle Plaine where Ayden Galindo won the high jump.
Lone Tree was at WACO Tuesday with the boys scoring wins in the 4×1 and sprint medley and the girls getting a win from Rylee Shield in the 400 and Ava Christofferson in long jump.
Louisa-Muscatine will also join this group tonight in Lone Tree. Action starts at 4:30p.m. And continues into the evening.
