The price of regular unleaded gas has fallen by nine cents in Iowa this week, dropping the average price to $2.98 in the state, according to AAA. Meanwhile, the national average dropped seven cents to $3.17. 

Diesel prices also fell in Iowa, with a three-cent drop bringing prices down to $3.35 per gallon, 24 cents lower than the national average.

After bottoming out last week with a $14 drop, both West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude oil prices bounced back by about $5.20, with WTI currently at $62.57 and Brent at $65.84. Both are still down from this point a year ago, when WTI sold for $86.15 and Brent was $91.29.
