
The Hillcrest Academy Raven soccer team gave the West Liberty Comets all they wanted for one half of a Thursday match in Kalona, before falling 4-0. With the game at a scoreless stalemate entering intermission, West Liberty took control with four goals after the break, including three in the first 10 minutes. Uriel Andrade-Martinez scored twice and Javier Andrade-Martinez and Iker Garcia Rosas added one each. David Hernandez had the clean sheet in goal with four saves. Hillcrest was out shot 4-2, but surrendered just one corner kick. Micah Gerber and Seth Ours each had a shot on goal for the Ravens. Kyle Neuschwander made six saves on the back line for the Hillcrest defense. West Liberty remains unbeaten at 7-0 while the Ravens fall to 2-2 this year. Hillcrest is back in action Tuesday when they host Cedar Valley Christian.
