The Mid-Prairie School Board has agreed with the district’s teachers and staff on wage increases for the 2025-26 school year.

Teachers will be receiving a 4% raise, while other staff will receive a 5% raise for next school year. Mid-Prairie Business Manager Jeff Swartzentruber said at Monday’s school board meeting that this comes on the heels of conservative raises over the past five years.

According to Superintendent Brian Stone, the Interest Based Bargaining (IBB) committee, which represents Mid-Prairie’s teachers and staff, accepted the district’s opening proposal.

“We’ve been intentional about being pretty tight with our budget, but it was time to pay people, and in that capacity we want them  to know that they’re greatly valued and appreciated.”
