
Opera will be presented in Washington this week and area children are invited to attend with children’s tickets being free. OPERA Iowa is presenting a reworking of Cinderella in which she overcomes her circumstances and transforms.
This show is part of the Washington Performing Arts Series. Prior to taking the stage, the cast will be doing two classroom workshops with Lincoln Elementary School students. Part of OPERA Iowa’s program is to provide education to schools across the state.
The performance begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Washington Area Performing Arts and Events Center at the Washington High School. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for college students, and all students in high school or younger are free.
