
It’s a River Valley Conference double dip Monday in Wellman when the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls and boys soccer teams take the pitch against West Branch. The Golden Hawk girls are 3-3-1 this year and 1-0-1 in conference after a 2-0 loss Thursday at Cedar Valley Christian. On the season, the Hawks have outscored their opponents 18-17 with 58 shots on goal, 31 corner kicks, seven assists and a 77% team save percentage. Individually, Meadow Flynn and Lydia Beachy are tied for the team lead with four goals each. Beachy and Brooklyn Schneider each have two assists and in goal, Niva Helmuth has 36 saves.
West Branch is 2-2 this year, 1-1 in conference after a 3-0 loss against Mediapolis Thursday. This year the Bears have outscored their opponents 11-10 in total with 70 shots on goal, 22 corner kicks, three assists and an 88% team save percentage. Individually, Grace Hamann leads with six goals. Chloe Albrecht, Cailtyn Harrison and Ava Abdagic each have an assist and in goal, Dani Crutchley has 68 saves. Mid-Prairie has won all five meetings ever between the two schools, including a 4-1 road victory last year.
The Mid-Prairie boys are 1-5 this year and 1-1 in conference after a 3-1 loss at Cedar Valley Christian Thursday. On the year, Mid-Prairie has been outscored 25-6 with 33 shots on goal, 11 corner kicks, three assists and a 67% team save percentage. Individually, Kale Miller leads with three goals and Will Snider, Ty Huber, Adrian Sanchez and Peyton Fox all have one assist. In goal, Jacob Flynn has made 41 saves.

This year, the Bears have outscored their opponents 18-13 in total with 62 shots on goal, 29 corner kicks, 10 assists and a 77% team save percentage. Individually, Reese Gingerich and Jarrett Ellyson each have five goals and Elliot Hinkhouse has five assists. The Bears have won the previous five meetings between these teams including 3-0 last season at the Little Rose Bowl.
