
The Washington Demon boys’ golf team competed Friday and Saturday at the Dutch Masters at Bos Landen Golf Course in Pella. Washington finished 14th in team scoring with a combined score of 685 strokes across the two days, finishing only 47 strokes behind the winners from Pella.
Junior Drew Conrad led the Demons and finished ninth overall with a combined score of 158. After shooting a 10-over-par 82 on his first 18 holes on Friday, Conrad dropped his score down to a four-over 76 the next day.
Senior Cole Vetter had Washington’s best Friday round with a six-over 78 and had the team’s second-best weekend with a total of 166. Junior Carson Brown added a 180, while senior Conner Leyden finished with 185 and sophomore Kaleb Orr carded a 189. The Demons play again later today when they host a Southeast Conference meet at Washington Golf & Country Club.
