
Two local boys golf teams are in Durant Tuesday for the Wildcat Invitational at Wahkonsa Golf and Country Club. The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks have a 7-5 record this season after a fourth place finish at their home 18 hole Golden Hawk Invitational Thursday where Clayton Davidson and Bryce Henry posted top 10 individual finishes at 84 and 86 respectively, helping the team to a 350 total. On the year, the Golden Hawks have a 167 team average per nine and 350 on 18, led by Davidson and Denver Nelson each at 41 on nine and Davidson’s 84 on 18.
Columbus is 1-4 this year, they were third behind New London and the home Bears at the Danville triangular last time out with their team score of 466, led by Kason Dopler’s 91. On the season, the Wildcats have a 212 team average on nine to go with their 466 on 18, led individually by Ryan Coil at 46 on nine and Dopler’s 91 on 18.
These two teams will be joined today by Calamus-Wheatland, Camanche, Louisa-Muscatine, Tipton, West Branch, West Liberty, Wilton and the home Wildcats. Action starts at noon Tuesday and continues into the afternoon and evening at Wahkonsa.
