The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys track and field team will perform under the lights at Dwight G. Sattler Field in Wellman tonight for their home Golden Hawk Boys Relays. Mid-Prairie is coming off of a Thursday team championship at the Tipton Co-ed where they scored 106 points. Mid-Prairie had eight event winners including Jayden Stafford sweeping the wheelchair 100, 200, 400 and 800s, Ryan Henry in the 100m dash. Burke Berry won discus and shot put Josh Turner won high jump. Runner-up performances for the Golden Hawks includedTommy Miller in discus, Thomas Lueck in long jump, the sprint med of Lueck, Keegan Bauwens, Kendrick Kos and Carson Humphrey, the 4×1 with Kaden and Kendrick Kos, Nolan Jergens and Humphrey, and the 4×4 with Cash Brown, Kendrick Kos, Jergens and Henry.

The Golden Hawks will be joined tonight by Eddyville-Blakesburg, Grinnell, Oskaloosa, West Liberty and Wilton. Tonight’s event also serves as Senior Night for the Hawks, who will honor 11 athletes including Keegan Bauwens, Burke Berry, Thomas Flynn, Landon Kos, Shay Myers, Dominik Shively, Jayden Stafford, Emmett Swartzentruber, Conner Wiles, Jayse Yoder and Preston Yutzy. Action starts at 4:15p.m. And continues into the evening at Dwight G. Sattler Field in Wellman.
