It’s a busy day on the sports calendar for the Hillcrest Academy Ravens. The Hillcrest soccer team takes the pitch tonight in Kalona for a non-conference match against Cedar Valley Christian. The Ravens are 2-2 this year, dropping a match last week to West Liberty 4-0. On the season, Hillcrest has outscored their opponents 10-7 with 34 shots on goal, 20 corner kicks and nine assists with a 73% team save percentage. Individually, Rowan Miller and Mason Helmuth each have three goals to lead. Miller’s three assists are best and in goal, Kyle Neuschwander has 16 saves.

Cedar Valley Christian is 4-2-1 this season. They beat Mid-Prairie 3-1 last time out. This year the Huskies are outscoring their opponents 12-3 with 48 shots on goal, 19 corner kicks, eight assists and a 79% team save percentage. Individually, Josh Skinner has a team high four goals, Zach Isaacson leads with four assists and Caleb Krueger has made 19 saves. The Ravens have won seven of the eight all-time meetings, including a 5-0 victory last season. Action starts tonight at 6p.m. At Hillcrest Academy.

The Raven golf teams visit Blue Top Ridge in Riverside for a Southeast Iowa Superconference triangular with local schools Highland and Lone Tree. Hillcrest Academy is 3-0 this year, with wins over Columbus, Wapello and WACO. The Ravens have a 169 team average per nine, led by Rowan Miller at 37 and Liam Schrock 38. The Hillcrest girls are 1-2 this year with a win over WACO and losses to Columbus and Wapello. The Ravens are shooting 258 as a team on nine this year, led by Ava Miller’s 60 average.

The Lone Tree boys are 2-8 this year. They last posted a team score April 9th at the Wapsi Creek Invitational where they were eighth with a 434. The Lions have a 212 team average on nine holes. Individually they are led by Jack Patterson and Lukas Fuhrmeister both with 50 averages on nine. Riley Viers is the Lone Lady Lion out this year. She shoots a 70 average on nine and 145 on 18.

The Highland girls are 11-0 this year. They rolled through Louisa-Muscatine Thursday with a 202-265 win, led by Emersyn Schultz 47. On the season, The Huskies have a 197 team average on nine and 382 on 18, led by Adisyn Prottsman with 43 on nine and Schultz 81 on 18. The Highland boys are winless in six events this season, their last a 192-241 loss to Louisa-Muscatine Thursday, despite a 53 from Presten Smith. This year, the Huskies have a 243 average on nine. Top dogs are Isaac Giesmann and Ryker Miller both at 59. The Highland girls and Hillcrest boys won these events last year. Action starts tonight at 4p.m. At Blue Top Ridge in Riverside.
