Two local boys golf teams teed it up Tuesday at the Wildcat Invitational at Wahkonsa Country Club in Durant.

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks had the top area team finish, placing fourth of 10 schools with their combined score of 341, West Branch won the tournament with a 325. The Hawks put two in the top ten and were paced by Denver Nelson and Grayson Gingerich’s matching 84s, each shooting 42 on each nine, to finish eighth overall. Other Mid-Prairie cards included Bryce Henry 86, Ace Peck 87 and 88 each for Clayton Davidson and Hudson Ehrenfelt. Individual medalist was McGavin Smith from West Branch with a 72.

Columbus did not post a team score. The Wildcats were led by Kason Dopler’s 99. Mason Hardy shot 117 and Aiden Dohrman 128.
