The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys soccer team squared off with the West Branch Bears Monday in Wellman for a River Valley Conference match. The Hawks and Bears finished with a 1-1 draw. The first 40 minutes were dominated by defense as the teams entered halftime in a scoreless stalemate. Both got on the board in the second half with Mid-Prairie’s strike coming from Peyton Fox, his second of the year.

Mac Yoder was a wall in goal for the Golden Hawks stopping eight shots on the night. With the tie, Mid-Prairie is now 1-5-1 this year and will travel to Anamosa Friday.
