Fuel prices were stable this week across Iowa and the country on average, according to the latest fuel report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.

The price of regular unleaded gasoline held steady this week both statewide and nationwide, averaging $2.98 across Iowa and $3.17 across the U.S. according to AAA.

Diesel prices in Iowa rose slightly, up two cents to $3.37, 20 cents below the national average, which fell to $3.57 this week.

After a tumultuous two weeks, crude oil prices have stabilized, with West Texas Intermediate Crude falling 65 cents to $61.92 and Brent Crude falling eight cents to $65.76.
