
The Washington Demons picked up a conference victory in girls’ soccer last night, going on the road to defeat Keokuk 4-0. Washington did all its scoring in the first half, with senior Angeline Anderson picking up a pair of goals and junior Jocci Carter finding the back of the net for the third time this season.
Ana Mata also scored for the Demons, while fellow senior Maya Murphy and junior Luna Cuevas each had an assist. The win raises Washington’s record to 1-2 in the Southeast Conference and 4-3 overall. The Demons will play again tonight against another conference rival when they host Mount Pleasant.
