Washington residents have an opportunity to dispose of items this Saturday. The clean-up event will run similarly to previous years, where residents can drop off items at a central site located at 1065 West Buchanan Street. It will be held this Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m.
General items should be contained in boxes, and bulky furniture items will be accepted at no cost. Appliances will have a $5 fee, and TVs and computer monitors will have a $15 fee. Household hazardous waste won’t be accepted; neither will tires, construction materials, waste oil, or latex paint. Stickers for items can be purchased at City Hall.
This is not a curbside cleanup. Items left on the curb without proper fees will be subject to penalty. You can find a list of not accepted items on the City of Washington website.
