
Winfield-Mount Union golf won both of its duals with Southeast Iowa Super Conference rival Louisa-Muscatine yesterday at Cedar Crest Country Club in Columbus Junction.
The WMU boys got a game effort from Louisa-Muscatine, but they would remain undefeated in Super Conference North duals with a team score of 158 strokes, 10 less than the Falcons.
Konner Kinneberg was the meet medalist and led the Wolves with a two-over-par 37, collecting a birdie on the sixth hole to go with three bogeys. Fellow junior Max Edwards and sophomore Justin Knipfer each had a 40, while sophomore Cody Milks shot a 41 and junior Nick Sparrow fired a 42.
Junior Grant Anderson added a 45 for the Winfield-Mount Union boys. The WMU girls edged out Louisa-Muscatine, as their team score of 224 was only three strokes better than the Falcons. Junior Kellee Milks shot the medalist round of 12-over 47 to pace the Wolves, while freshman Ashlyn Bender carded a 53.
